Touché El Douché

Ted L. Dewshay was born in a small wood cabin (twice) in a time when such achievements were not taken lightly, but orally.  Taken to the streets rather than be from them, the vistas widened as L-Dew grew out of a desperate need to age, each year giving himself a sillier nickname.  Seventy two hundred thirty million years later, and just when you thought it was safe to go surfing on a black hole, the remains of this man, who crawled through space to get there, are re-assembled through the cosmos as audio wave forms, and when the head-hurtingly loud pierce screams are re-interpreted by our conscience here in what we jokingly call 'modern day,' it sounds less like a Throbbing Gristle outtake and more like three guys talking about movies and politics.  Key word: 'like.'

TED Episode 69 - The Big Wheezy

Released on Sunday, February 7th 2016 @ 1:13PM

The show starts with Trevor telling Shawn about a prop department PA job that he wasn’t able to do because of his asthma. The show ends there, too, but they keep doing it for about an hour more. They go on about sneaking out at night as high schoolers and their forays into sketch comedy. A great two man sketch group. They’re like Key & Peele if they were completely white and completely unfunny.

TED Episode 68 - Podcast Armistice

Released on Sunday, January 31st 2016 @ 12:07PM

The Podcast War that was going on with The Vaglica Show is a dismal fucking failure. Rocco Vaglica, host of the show, simulcasts with Shawn and Trevor, and before long, it’s clear we have new friends. Fuck. I don’t know. Spoilers, I guess. The gang also meet George, a friend to The Vaglica Show who was brought in for emotional support, but who resigned himself to quietly telling Shawn and Trevor that they’re gay. Hear The Vaglica Show's side of the simulcast here:

TED Episode 67 - Back In The Subtle

Released on Sunday, January 24th 2016 @ 1:58PM

Shawn and Trevor discuss a variety of things today (much like they do every day), from Donald Trump bringing Sarah Palin on as his running mate, and the many recent deaths of cool old white guys (Lemmy, David Bowie, the dude from The Eagles, et al) to a dream Trevor had about reuniting with his original co-host Janine Nunnery and her husband Matthew. The other nice surprise is that, during the break, Trevor gets a phone call offering him his first TV/Film Industry job as a set dresser.

TED: Best of 2015

Released on Sunday, January 17th 2016 @ 4:06PM

Janine and Trevor. Shawn. Jimie. Lou Angelwolf. Other one word descriptive. It’s the year we came back. Things changed. Things stayed the same. Hear it all again, for the first time.

TED Episode 66 - Spaghetti Again?

Released on Sunday, January 10th 2016 @ 12:14PM

Touché El Douché enters into 2016 a week late with its worst show of the year. Trevor has had horrible car problems and almost didn’t get into his apartment on time, leading to a full day of running errands and getting furniture and amenities at WalMart with Shawn. On any other show, this would lead to some great story-telling, but all it does is exhaust Shawn and Trevor to the point that they call Grub Hub, order some spaghetti and then eat it. On the air. Riveting, ain’t it?

TED No Show 6 - Merry Belated Christmas

Released on Sunday, December 27th 2015 @ 11:42AM

So did you really think you were going to get a new show a week after Christmas? Y’did? Well, think of this as Thanksgiving left-overs; still good, despite not being new. We hear from Shawn, Trevor AND Jimie this time. There’s movie talk, Shawn getting high that one time, and the gang listen to the stand-up of Rocco, a guy they’re currently at war with.

TED Episode 65 - Podcast Wars 2: Attacking The Jabrones

Released on Sunday, December 20th 2015 @ 12:05PM

It’s the first of many podcasts where Trevor and Shawn are in the same room, as Trevor has finally made the move to Atlanta. They talk a little bit about that and also their anticipation for seeing Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. Although, the majority of the show is spent breaking down the response from The Vaglica Show, a podcast hosted by two Long Island white trash cousins named Rocco. That’s right. TED is at war with a Tim & Eric sketch.

TED Episode 64 - Vag Lives Matter

Released on Sunday, December 13th 2015 @ 7:30PM

Jimie joins Trevor and Shawn on this week’s podcast, which incidentally is Trevor’s last show before moving to Atlanta. The gang talk about getting caught eating , and starting a podcast war with an unfunny comic named Vaglica. After the break, Jimie gets racial (he is Professor Racism after all) about the group Black Lives Matter, who he believes is making black folks look bad. Shawn disagrees and the two debate seriously while Trevor plays goofy sound effects.

TED Episode 63 - Han Shot Only

Released on Sunday, December 6th 2015 @ 12:50PM

Joke thievery and freedom of speech are common topics on this show, and this week’s podcast is no exception. The gang discuss Conan O’Brien’s recent joke stealing accusation as well as Hillary Clinton’s visit to The Laugh Factory. And then, before getting into Trevor’s move to Georgia, like they promised us before going to break, the guys take way too long to talk about how George Lucas is an idiot, yet The Force Awakens is gonna be just awesome, you guys.

TED Episode 62 - Road TED

Released on Sunday, November 29th 2015 @ 2:53PM

On the road again. Shawn can’t wait to get on the road again. This week’s show was recorded the day before Thanksgiving and Shawn was coming back to Sarasota from Atlanta. Trevor and Jimie (aka Professor Racism), calling in from Detroit, maintain a conversation with Shawn via Skype connection to his new fancy car. Topics discussed are wide, from Atheism to Ronda Rousey, even when Shawn’s connection goes out when he hits rural Georgia. #Yallcomebacknowyahear
